Startup Demo Day

What Is It? The Creative Coast, ATDC Savannah and TAG partner to bring you the entrepreneurial event of the year. Startup Demo Day showcases early stage companies with high growth potential throughout the Southeast. Startup Demo Day for 2017 has yet to be determined. Join the Savannah community and investors from around the region for this showcase of Savannah area startups showing their most innovative and problem-solving solutions across a number of diverse sectors. The afternoon event will take place on Nov. 16 at Creators’ Foundry and offer select startup founders a chance to pitch and connect with regional investors as well as promote their businesses to the public. Creators’ Foundry is located at 415 W Boundary Street and there is plenty of free parking. Starting at 2 p.m., ATDC Bootcamp graduates will pitch to compete for a $5000 prize. The competition will be judged by serial entrepreneur and investors Clegg Ivey and Kevin Dewalt. After each pitch, the companies will have the opportunity to answer questions from the judges and audience. Investors and audience members will then engage in questions and answers with the entrepreneurs. Most of the companies pitching will be vetted from ATDC’s fall Accelerator Boot Camp, a 12-week program during which participants receive intensive coaching and preparation via Entrepreneur-in-Residence Yvonne Jouffrault. The winner of the pitch competition will be awarded $5,000 from the Savannah Economic Development Authority. At 3:30 p.m., the pitch session ends and Startup Alley begins. During Startup Alley, accepted applicants can demo their companies at an assigned table as they network with all Demo Day attendees over food and drinks.
