9 am - 2 pm at Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus
Camp is made possible by the following Girls Code Sponsors...

What is Girls Code Summer Camp?
The Creative Coast is excited to host its second Girls Code Summer Camp! This year's camp will take place from July 10 to 14 at the Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus from 9am - 2pm each day.
The theme is aerospace and aviation! We aim to make camp as fun as possible so the campers will have the opportunity to take a field trip to Fly Corps Aviation...
Who Can Attend Girls Code Camp 2023?
Camp is for 5th to 8th grade girls within the public school system (home school students included). Whether a beginner or a computer master, all are welcome!
What does it cost to send my child to camp?
Camp is 100% free, lunch and snacks are provided, and field trip transportation is provided. This is made possible thanks to our sponsors at the Howmet Aerospace Foundation, Howmet Women's Network, Georgia Southern Business Innovation Group, Fly Corps Aviation, and the City of Savannah.
What will campers do and learn?
Campers will learn from fun and simple online coding tutorials, build community through interactive activities and hear from inspiring role models with STEM careers. Activities will focus on combining creativity and computer science to create an engaging experience.
This year’s camp will introduce new concepts and fun challenges. Attendees will first use MIT Scratch, which is a free programming language and online platform, to create their own interactive games based on aviation. They will then build on these skills by learning introductory HTML and CSS coding.
During camp, attendees will visit Fly Corps Aviation to tour planes and learn how they work. Campers will have the opportunity to hear from women flight instructors about operating the planes and what it takes to become a pilot.
How do I sign my child up?!
Camp is currently at capacity and registration is now closed. Join the waitlist by emailing Lesli Ott at lott@menther.com.
