GA’s Next Big Startups will be at FastPitch

FastPitch, organized by the Creative Coast in Savannah, identifies promising local entrepreneurs and helps them start new ventures or grow existing ones.

How it works: Entrepreneurs make a 3-minute pitch of their innovative venture with coaching and feedback provided before, during, and after to better prepare applicants, their ideas, and their presentations. Judges will assess the viability of each venture and the most promising ideas are further encouraged and supported. Some ventures will even receive funding from interested investors. This year, entrepreneurs will be competing in three categories: Student Entrepreneurs Service-Based Entrepreneurs Product-Based Entrepreneurs Applications are closed, but everyone is invited to join on March 5 to cheer on competitors and experience ideas coming to life. Including: Alpha Bride: A reverse auction site which allows brides to engage and invite wedding vendors to go head-to-head to earn business with brides, alleviating some of the cost and hassle of planning a wedding Paladin: A pay by the hour special-use aircraft aviation service startup targeting the US military customer to relieve the recurring services required Plexr: Reaction Sharing: “Snapchat on Steroids;” this fun mobile app available on iOS records spontaneous reactions of friends when users send them content The Bicycle Wrap Skirt: Designed to blend in and standout at the same time, while allowing women to wear skirts while riding in bikes without worrying about catching in tires, rubbing against a greasy chain, or blowing up in the wind About the Creative Coast With a mission to nurture the members of the Savannah community engaged in creative or innovative endeavors and to cultivate an environment in which they can thrive, the Creative Coast is here for the entrepreneurial community of the creative coast region.
