VIRTUAL – Entrepreneur’s Night ft. Alaina Meyer of scDataCom

June 11 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

Join us for an inspiring evening featuring a Savannah entrepreneur who has started and is growing their business. This month’s Entrepreneur’s Night features a fireside chat between Alaina Meyer of  scDataCom and the Creative Coast’s Jen Bonnett.

About scDataCom:

“scDataCom offers full scale business security solutions including Video Surveillance (CCTV) Systems, monitored Intrusion Detection systems, and Access Control solutions. We also sell, install and service Radio Communications solutions. Every system is tailored to the individual business’s requirements – we are happy to help businesses of all sizes secure their facilities, from a single office suite to a large commercial site with multiple locations.

In addition to our work within the private sector in our local area, scDataCom has extensive contract experience performing Low Voltage & Security Integration services for Federal customers nation-wide. We are honored to have been selected to improve the security posture of various public agencies across the nation, including Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, GSA Public Building Services and the Department of Veterans Affairs.”

About Alaina:

Alaina Meyer is the founder and Chief Operations Officer of scDataCom, a Savannah-based technology integrator that specializes in physical security solutions.

Alaina was born in Honolulu Hawaii to two active duty military parents and raised as the quintessential “army brat” – living in 9 different states before graduating highschool. After graduating from Flagler College in St Augustine, Florida in 2013, she decided to put down roots in her father’s hometown of Savannah, Georgia and has happily called the Hostess City home ever since.

After graduating, Alaina started scDataCom: The Southern Coast’s Security Experts. As her team and client base began to grow, she sweet talked her mother (who had recently retired from career military service and was already itching for a new project) into joining her on this new business adventure. The family partnership worked beautifully and Alaina & Kathleen have been co-owners since 2015. scDataCom is a certified Woman Owned and Veteran Owned Small business, with the mother/daughter duo retaining 100% ownership and executive leadership positions.

scDataCom has been delivering security integration solutions to both Savannah area businesses and Federal Agencies since 2013. They specialize in customized Physical and Electronic Security, Access Control Systems and Video Surveillance and have a large portfolio of both Commercial and Federal customers, with a client list that includes the Department of Veterans Affairs, Georgia Port Authority, St Joseph/Candler Hospitals and many other small to enterprise level businesses.

Alaina’s newest initiative, SafeCity, aims to bring scDataCom’s expertise and high powered technology tools to Savannah; they have partnered with other local businesses to create one of the most advanced video security programs in the country, right here in the low country. The SafeCity initiative is designed to be a community focused program that empowers local businesses and citizens to enact positive change in their hometown through access to top of the line technology, safety and collaboration tools.
