Girls Code is a Savannah-based educational coding program for 5th to 8th-grade girls in Savannah Chatham County Public Schools. The program offers several events per year focusing on providing unique code education in a fun and supportive environment to cultivate young womxn’s interests in computer programming.

Activities focus on combining creativity and computer science to create an engaging experience for campers. Workshops and summer camps provide a learning environment where young women are introduced to the fundamental principles, technologies, and skills associated with computer programming and Internet technologies

The next Girls Code session will take place on the following Saturdays: March 4, March 11, March 25, and April 1. Sessions will take place at a different public library in Savannah each week. Workshops are independent of one another and will take place from 11:00am – 1:30pm.

These sessions are all FREE thanks to a partnership with the City of Savannah, Howmet Aerospace Foundation, Howmet Womens Network, and Live Oak Public Libraries. Attendees must be in 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th grade and enrolled at a Savannah Chatham County Public School in order to participate.
