The BiG Idea Accelerator, led by the Creative Coast, in partnership with BIG and ATDC, is a 3 workshop series of education & mentoring to help you determine if this is the idea for you to pursue!
The full accelerator program will run the gamut from validating your idea, to utilizing lean startup principles for validating your customer, to building your financial model, to incorporation structure. Finally, we will end with telling your story to investors, employees, and customers.
The Creative Coast Know Your Customer Workshop is the first of 3 workshops in conjunction with the Business Innovation Group of Georgia Southern University. The 3 workshops together comprise the BiG Idea Accelerator and focus on providing current best principles for launching a business. It is heavily based on the teachings of Steve Blank (an entrepreneur turned professor from Stanford) and Eric Ries (the author of Lean Startup)

A genda for Know Your Customer Workshop:
10:00am – Welcome & Introductions
10:15am – Part I – Customer Discovery 101.
Overview of the Business Model Canvas and Customer Discovery Process. What is Customer Discovery? Why do it? Introduction to the Business Model Canvas.
11:00am –Part II – Market Matters.
In this session, we discuss why market matter and how to do market research. Learn the difference between TAM, SAM and Target Market.
11:30am – Part III – Customer Archetypes.
In this session, we do a deep dive on your target customer segments by “getting in their head” and defining a customer archetype/persona.
12:15pm – Part IV – The Value Proposition.
In this session we discuss why people/companies buy and how to craft & test your value proposition to each customer segment.
1:00pm – Part V – Relationships matter – channels & relationships.
In this session, we talk about how to “get, keep & grow” customers. We will walk through how relationship and distribution channels will play a role in your success.
1:00pm – Part VI – Show me the money – pricing & revenue streams.
In this session, we discuss common revenue streams for different types of customers/markets and pricing strategy.
1:45pm – Wrap Up – Get out of the Office!
In this session, we will encourage the participants to do all the homework and get out of the office, talk to customers and take action.
The program will be taught by Jen Bonnett, and Dwayne Stephens, 2 serial entrepreneurs with a penchant for helping other entrepreneurs succeed. We will be leveraging the assistance of a pool of very talented mentors/subject-matter experts at every stage.
