Key ingredients to a local success story: Variety, Freshness and Flavor
Top reasons to shop at the Forsyth Farmers’ Market

Each Saturday hundreds of shoppers have a range of reasons to come out and shop at the Forsyth Farmers’ Market in downtown Savannah.
Some of the customers favor the fresh, crisp, farm-grown texture and flavor of market goods over produce that has traveled hundreds of miles onto a supermarket shelf; others come out to mingle with fellow shoppers, to exchange recipes for the latest produce in season or to enjoy a cold fruit popsicle in the summer.

One reason everybody enjoys shopping at the market is the variety of products offered such as different types of radishes, a full spectrum of herbs like basil, eggs from small to XXL size, cheeses from mild to sharp, sausages with wonderful different flavors and much more.
Lately more vendors added specialties like:
-Gluten-free bread and baked goods, which can be found at Vegetable Kingdom.
-Exotic kumquat- lime trees, which can survive the colder winter temperatures in Savannah and funky cool looking corkscrew and horsetail grass plants, which will heighten the mood of every passionate gardener, are offered by Morning Glory Nursery (Delilah Mendes) each Saturday.
- Southern Swiss Dairies cheeses, milk, and yogurt products. They filled a long requested need for dairy at the market.
- Everybody’s favorite java by Perc Coffee.
- Sweet honey products from local bees and their caretakers, Readee’s Bees and B&G Honey Products, who bring the end products to the market.
- Homemade pasta and marinated vegetables from Frali Gourmet.

Adults appreciate the variety and the fresh produce, and even the pickiest kids will be loyal customers of fresh, local and farm-grown food.

The Forsyth Farmers’ Market encourages shoppers to talk to the farmers and local vendors. It is a treat to buy food from the farmer who grew it, and he or she will be able to answer all questions about the product, where it was grown, what variety it is, and even offer cooking suggestions.

The Forsyth Farmers’ Market takes place each Saturday at the South End of Forsyth Park from
9 AM - 1 PM.

The Forsyth Farmers’ Market vendors offer a variety of local goods including seasonal produce, eggs, honey, pastured meat, bread, cheese, mushrooms, fresh herbs, vegetable sauces, preserves, coffee beans, heirloom seeds and potted plants.
