St. Andrew’s School announces the addition of a second Pre-K 3 class for the 2012-13 school year. The expansion will provide two separate classrooms with a goal of 12 students in each room, maintaining a commitment to an integrated theme-based curriculum designed to foster confidence, independence and learning readiness. The Lower School will be under the direction of Dr. Kelley Waldron.
“Due to an increased demand and a commitment to small class size, it is necessary to expand the program and offer a second class for our youngest students,” said Beth Aldrich, Director of Admissions.
The St. Andrew’s preschool classes are designed to develop and encourage a positive and healthy attitude about learning that will support students’ academic work as they move through the elementary grades.
“A three-year-old best learns through play, so everything we do is within a framework of fun activities such as games, stories, and songs,” said Donna Cantrell, Lower School Teacher.
The Middle School, grades 5 through 8, is also expanding for the 2012-13 school year. A third section for students entering sixth grade is being added for the fall.
St. Andrew’s is an independent International Baccalaureate World School with a focus on 21st Century Teaching and Learning. For more information on the Pre K3 through Grade 12 school, visit www.saintschool.com or call 897.4941.
