Season seats for the Savannah Sand Gnats 2009 season will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 9 a.m., the team announced today. For the second year in a row there will be no price increase in season seats as prices will stay the same as the 2008 season.

A season seat includes one ticket to each of the 70 Sand Gnats home games during the 2009 season at Historic Grayson Stadium. Just like the past two seasons, a general admission seating season seat is $225, which averages out to just $3.21 per game. One season seat in the orange reserved seats behind home plate is $350 ($5 per game) while one box season seat is $490 ($7 per game). Season-seat holders can redeem any unused tickets for future game dates as general admission seats.

Some of the benefits of being a season-seat holder with the Sand Gnats include the free season-seat holder road trip to Charleston, a 10-percent discount on Sand Gnats merchandise and the preseason player meet-and-greet event. As a season-seat holder, one is also guaranteed to receive any giveaway item if they miss the game. The Sand Gnats will also issue a parking pass to all season-seat holders

Fans that opt to purchase box season seats also enjoy the added incentives of a seat placard or name card on the back of their seats as well as in-seat, wait-staff service for all home games.

As an added incentive, anyone purchasing season seats prior to Dec. 1, 2008 is eligible to receive a bat signed by the entire 2009 Opening Day Sand Gnats roster.

The Sand Gnats open the 2009 campaign at home on April 9 when the Augusta GreenJackets make their first appearance in Savannah. For more information, visit www.sandgnats.com or call 912.351.9150.
