The Savannah Tree Foundation has been working with the City of Savannah and Trail
Dynamics, LLC of North Carolina to create a plan for permanent walking trails in the forest.
Come to this month's discovery walk and check out our progress.
Children are welcome, though strollers will not work well on bumpy terrain. Pets are welcome on leash, but owners are cautioned about possible tick populations. Long pants, sturdy shoes, water and bug repellant are advised.
Walks depart at 1 p.m. from the north side of the parking lot at the Bacon Park Tennis courts, just off Skidaway Rd., south of Bonna Bella Dr.
