Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church Tragedy hits close to home for local Restaurant Owners
Savannah, Georgia- Brian & Jennifer Huskey, Owners of B. Matthews Restaurant, located at 325 East Bay Street (corner of Habersham & Bay) and Blowin Smoke BBQ, located at 514 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard remember the happiest day of their life, May 9, 1998; the day they were married at Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. That memory is very positive and special but they were devasted to learn of the news about the deadly shooting at their hometown church on Sunday July 27.
“We are shocked and saddened to see the congregation we know and love affected by such a terrible tragedy, say Jennifer.
On Sunday August 3 and Sunday August 10, both restaurants will be donating 20% of the daily receipts to the congregation of Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. “This is an opportunity for us, our customers and the Savannah community to help the congregation as they continue to grieve and support their congregation family”, continues Brian.
