Leigh Lawless: Marketing & Member Services Coordinator

Shortly after receiving her undergraduate degree in Communications from Oglethorpe University, Leigh decided to get the heck out of Atlanta. Generally a cool and collected individual, the traffic in Atlanta frequently led her to become a white-knuckled, frizzy-haired, shouting madwoman.

Thus, she headed to the calm, coastal south – and has settled in, loving Savannah, over the past 7 years. Since living in Savannah, Leigh received her Masters Degree in Public Administration at Georgia Southern University and leapt at the chance to put those communications and community development skills to work full-time for TCCa. In addition to coordinating events that offer valuable exposure, information or resources to established businesses, such as TCCa’s Open House Series and the annual TechFest competition, Leigh also serves as a Community Coach to Windsor Forest High School.

In her free time, besides enjoying good food and drink, she loves walks with her dog, Lucy, going to Tybee and afternoons on her screened-in porch. She and her fiancé recently bought a house and are planning a May wedding – so she stays busy! She has served The Georgia Historical Society as a volunteer and supports The Blood Alliance (local blood bank) and the United Way of the Coastal Empire.
